Хизмат сафари доирасида музейшунослик соҳасида семинар-тренинглар ташкил этилди, Малайзия Ислом санъати музейи фаолияти билан танишилди. Ўзбекистоннинг Малайзиядаги элчихонаси, Малайзия Ташқи Ишлар вазирлиги ҳамда Малайзия Ислом санъати музейи ташаббуси билан Малайзия ҳукумати Ўзбекистондаги музейшунос ходимлар малакасини ошириш мақсадида Тошкент шаҳрида ташкил қилинадиган семинар-тренинглар грант маблағлари ажратди.
Семинар-тренинг режасига мувофиқ, Малайзия Ислом санъати музейининг реставрация ва консервация, экспозиция, таълим, маркетинг, графика йўналишларидаги мутахассислари 2023 йил 10-15 сентябр кунлари Ўзбекистондаги Ислом цивилизация маркази базасида соҳа мутахассислари учун бепул семинар-тренинглар ўтказадилар. Иштирокчиларга халқаро намунадаги сертификат берилиши кўзда тутилган.

Zulkifli Ishak, Senior, Curator Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia
Zulkifli Ishak is a Senio r Curator at the IAMM and has served with the museum since year 2008. His role as a curator in this museum is to conduct research, to disseminate knowledge, information and legacy of the collection of Islamic arts and artefacts through various methods such as exhibitions, displays, publications, lectures and trainings. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree and postgraduate MA in History and Civilization at International Islamic University of Malaysia. He received professional museum training at the British Museum, and became the fellow member of International Training Programme (ITP) of the British Museum since the year 2017. In 2022, he was selected by the British Museum to be part of International Working Group (IWG), to participate in the Reimagining the British Museum (RBM) project. This ongoing project aims to shape the future narratives of the collection and display in the British Museum. In the IAMM, he led and curated various exhibitions such as En route to Mecca in 2009, Al-‘Ilm: Science & Innovation in the Islamic world in 2012, Al-Hajj: The Malaysian Experience in 2013, Symbols of Power & Beauty: The collection of the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia in 2015 and Faith, Fashion, Fusion: Muslim Women’s Style in Australia in 2017.
Hariz Ahmad Kamal, Curator, Islamic Ar ts Museum Malaysia
Hariz Ahmad Kamal is an Asia Europe Institute scholar in Regional Integration with 17 years of professional experience, with a wealth of transferable skills gained in journalism, diplomacy and now in the curatorial field. A humble beginning as a Research Assistant helped him to develop himself as a writer by writing an array of topics from business, current affairs, social issues to lifestyle and travel. He then pursued his passion in the academia after receiving a full scholarship to obtain an international Master’s degree. As part of his Master’s programme, he lived in Bangkok, Thailand during his internship with the Southeast Asian Education Minister Organization (SEAMEO). He was offered a position in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Malaysia as a Political Secretary where he was responsible in implementing the Embassy’s public diplomacy activities in Malaysia. With his strong communication skills and his academic and professional achievements, he has been invited to give lectures in Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand, in Universitas Syiah Kuala in Aceh, Indonesia as well as in Universiti Malaya under the collaboration between University of Malaya and Kyushu University, Japan. His continued dedication to share knowledge has led him to be a curator in the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. Among the exhibitions he led was The Story of Coffee exhibition, the Coin Chronicles: Numismatics of the Islamic World and also the Keris: Power and Identity where he is also the co-author for the publication of the same name.
Lalitha Thiagarajah, Senior Conservator, Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia
Lalitha Thiagarajah holds a BSc in Applied Chemistry with honours from University Science Malaysia (USM) and an MSc in Technology and Analysis of Archaeological Materials from University College London (UCL). Throughout her 15 years of professional experience, she has worked in various capacities including as a conservator, consultant and trainer in the field of heritage conservation. She has worked closely with ICCROM (www.iccrom.org) in the development and implementation of the CollAsia Training Programme on Collections Care in Southeast Asia since 2006 and the International Summer School on Communication and Teaching Skills in Conservation Science in 2013 & 2015; focusing on scientific principles in conservation and most recently in the training of Southeast Asian heritage professionals in sustainable practices in cultural heritage. She has also initiated meaningful collaborations for IAMM through her professional network, namely with ICCROM and USM’s Centre for Global Archaeological Research. In 2019, she successfully led the IAMM Conservation Department with the curation of the exhibition on ‘Conservation: Craft or Science’, which was nominated for the Keck Awards by the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC) and has published and presented her research in international conferences including the IIC Congress (2010), International Conference of the European Association of Southeast Asian Archaeologists (Euraseaa 2012) and Interim Meeting ICOM-CC Metals Working Group (2016). She is currently attached to the Analytical Laboratory of IAMM’s Conservation Centre as senior conservator, where she leads the preventive conservation unit and works primarily with Islamic metalwork, textiles and polychrome wood; including the training and development of junior conservators. Her research interests include corrosion mechanism, the technology of production of metallic artefacts, pigment analysis and sustainable materials used in conservation.
Rashidah Salim, Senior Executive Assistant to the Director, Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia
Rashidah Salim joined the museum in 1997 as the first staff employed by the IAMM. She worked together with the Director setting-up the museum before bringing in the rest of the team to the museum two years later. She is now the Senior Executive Assistant to the Director. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Hons) and postgraduate MA in Educational Management and Leadership at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She received professional museum training at the British Museum, and became the fellow member of International Training Programme (ITP) of the British Museum since the year 2016. In 2019, she attended a course on engaging and educating young museum audience at the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS), Mumbai, India also organized by the British Museum. She has initiated several educational programs for the IAMM such as the Museum-School Partnership, Museum-University Partnership, Immersion in Islamic Arts, Corporate Day Out and many more.
Assc. Prof. Dr. Badrul Isa, Deputy Rector of Student Affairs, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Selangor
Associate Professor Dr. Badrul Isa began his professional journey as a visual art teacher in schools before transitioning to become a lecturer in the Department of Art and Design Education, Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. He holds a M.A. in Art and Education from the University of Central England (UCE) Department of Art, Birmingham, UK. His passion lies in Museum and Art Gallery Learning, with a particular focus on promoting visual art education from a multicultural perspective. Dr. Badrul is actively involved in advancing the educational potential of museums and art galleries in Malaysia. He has played a vital role in establishing connections between schools, trainee teachers, and local museums and galleries. Moreover, he is actively engaged in promoting heritage education. As part of his academic pursuits, Dr. Badrul earned a doctoral degree from the School of Education at RMIT University, with a research focus on education programmes in museums and galleries. Presently, he holds the position of Deputy Rector of Student Affairs UITM Cawangan Selangor.
Noorhayati Abdul Rahim, Accounts Manager, Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia
Noorhayati Abdul Rahim is the Accounts Manager at the IAMM and has served with the museum since year 1999. She is in-charge of the accounts, finance and administration of the IAMM and two profit-making subsidiaries of the museum, the Museum Souvenir Shop and the Museum MOZA Restaurant.
In 2018, she has been invited by the Korea Foundation for training on finance and management at several museums in South Korea.
